1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to MicDrop. My name is Shivek, and this platform is a personal passion project born from a desire to share my skills and bring something unique to the world. By creating an account or using MicDrop (the "Service"), you are agreeing to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), which form a binding legal agreement. This is a bootstrapped venture, with one person taking on all the risks involved, driven by ambition and a love for music and technology. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

2. User Accounts

To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep this information up-to-date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

3. User Conduct and Content

You are solely responsible for all audio, video, text, and other content you upload or post to the Service ("Your Content"). We are building a positive and creative community, and you agree not to post content that:

• Is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, harassing, or threatening.
• Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or gratuitously violent.
• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark.
• Contains spam, unauthorized commercial communications, or malicious code.

MicDrop reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor and remove any content that violates these terms, without prior notice. Repeated violations may result in the suspension or permanent deletion of your account.

Strict Policy on AI-Generated Voices: MicDrop is a platform for human talent. The use of AI-generated voices to create vocal performances is strictly prohibited. While the creative use of sound effects is permitted, any content found to be primarily generated by AI voice synthesis will be removed. Breaching this policy consecutively may result in a permanent account suspension.

4. Intellectual Property and Respect for Artists

I have a profound respect for artists, musicians, and all forms of creative hard work. MicDrop is intended to celebrate this talent, not to exploit it.

• Your Content: You retain all ownership rights to Your Content. However, by uploading it to MicDrop, you grant the Service a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display Your Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
• Copyright of Original Music: You acknowledge that the underlying musical compositions and sound recordings available on the Service are the property of their respective owners. MicDrop does not claim any ownership of this original music. We have made a best effort to provide recognition to the original artists by including information and links to their work where possible.
• Takedown Requests: If you are a copyright owner and believe your work has been used on the Service in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact me directly through our contact page. I will promptly investigate and take appropriate action to remove the content in question.

5. Monetization

Currently, MicDrop is a non-commercial project. I do not make any money from the platform. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the possibility that MicDrop may become monetized in the future if it gains significant traction or is recognized by other corporations. In the event that the platform begins generating revenue, we are committed to ensuring that all necessary parties and intellectual property holders are remunerated fairly and accordingly, in full effect from the point at which monetization begins.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

This section is important as it defines the legal limits of my liability as the creator of this ambitious project.

• "AS-IS" Service: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. I am driven to make MicDrop a success, but I cannot guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.
• User Content: The content posted by users on MicDrop does not represent my views. I am not responsible for any user-generated content and the consequences of posting it.
• For Entertainment Purposes: The vocal analysis and scoring features of MicDrop are provided for entertainment and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional vocal coaching.
• Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MicDrop and its sole operator (Shivek Maharaj) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the service; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content.

7. Termination

You are free to stop using our Service at any time by deleting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including for a breach of these Terms.
